07.05.2010 SemVox Technology at the FMX 2010

At the FMX 2010, the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg presents together with SemVox an interactive, virtual character that is not only able to react to human speech input but also to show emotions. "Nikita" is visibly annoyed when she is rudely interrupted and she is only willing to continue speaking when presented with a compliment. The demonstrator is based on the SemVox ODP technology on the one hand and on the Filmakademie Application Framework Frapper und das Agent Framework on the other hand, the two last ones both being open source applications. The FMX 2010 is the 15th Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Interactive Media. It takes place in Stuttgart form 4 to 7 May. More information on the conference can be found on www.fmx.de.
